Bleam was developed by Bo McFarland and Rich Waters. We had wanted to work together for several years, but circumstances had never previously aligned for that to occur. Years of working in Silicon Valley had instilled in us a strong desire to create a company where rationality wins out over ego and reason prevails over organizational politics

Bleam, itself, was born out of frustration with the poor connectivity infrastructure at various events we attended. We could not understand why we needed to access a server half way across the country in order to chat with people 10 feet away. Around the same time we started to think about solutions to this, Apple announced the peer to peer connectivity feature of the 3.0 iPhone OS, and Bleam was born.
